    It might have been cold outside, but we were feeli It might have been cold outside, but we were feeling the warmth and the love! Thank you to @mcnallyrobinson for hosting a fantastic celebration of middle grade fiction last week! I had the best time with authors @carol.matas and @colleennelsonauthor, sharing our books and conversation with the crowd. Even with the fire alarm that postponed our event by 20 minutes… As a very knowledgeable writer once said to me, “When writing for young people, something has to happen.” Finally, thank you to everyone who came out to support our books and my favourite independent bookseller!
    Starting January 2025, I’ll be joining the Humbe Starting January 2025, I’ll be joining the Humber Creative Writing Graduate Certificate program as a mentor.     Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of doing an Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of doing an event at Woozles Bookstore in Halifax—the oldest children’s bookstore in Canada. There’s something special about spaces like @woozlesbooks that have been connecting young readers with books for so long. It was a real honour to share SWAN in a place that’s been such a cornerstone for kids’ literature. And any excuse to take a pause and just colour… Thank you, Woozles, for the warm welcome!
